2. Permissions Used in the App

Our App requests the following permissions, each serving a specific and limited purpose:

• Camera: Used to allow students to capture and upload photos or documents (e.g., for admission, ID verification, or form submission). The App does not record or use the camera in the background; access occurs only when the user initiates it.
• Read Media Images (Android 13 and above): Used to allow users to select and upload specific images or documents from their device when performing actions like admission form upload or student profile update. The App does not scan or access the entire gallery and does not request persistent access to all photos.
• Read / Write External Storage (Android 12 and below): Used only for compatibility with older Android versions (API < 33) to let students select and upload images or PDFs. We do not access or modify other files on your device.
• Internet, Network State, and Wi-Fi State:
  • INTERNET – required for the App to connect with the Samastipur College server for login, form submission, notifications, and result fetching.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE – used to detect internet connectivity and ensure stable data transfer. The App does not share your network details with third parties.
• WAKE_LOCK: Used to keep the device awake during document upload or critical processes (such as payment verification) to prevent data loss. It does not run in the background unnecessarily.

3. Information We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of data:

• Personal Information (provided by users): Name, email address, phone number, admission number, course details, and uploaded documents such as profile photo or ID card.
• Technical Information (collected automatically): Device model, OS version, IP address, App version, usage patterns, and crash logs (for performance improvement).
